This large chestnut tree that was situated within the grounds at Lancashire Fire HQ in North Preston. This had to be removed due to bleeding cankers and the stem starting to show signs of decay. 

We were contracted by Lancashire County Council to remove the tree. We sub contracted Sutton Crane Hire who we do a lot of work with around the North West. They are highly skilled and experienced having being operating for nearly 52 years. We provided a four man arb team along with our eight ton cat digger for moving waste wood and brash around the site.

Jack our lead climber and supervisor took the tree down in sections allowing the crane to lift them out safely and efficiently. All our staff have senna comms fitted to their helmets to allow 100% communication between the crane operator, climber and ground crew. 

This job was completed on a Sunday to allow for minimum disruption to the Fire HQ which is the main hub for all fire stations across Lancashire.
